bbrother Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 App: Designer, Photo, Publisher 2.5.6 (Windows) Steps to reproduce Create new document (Designer, Pgoto, Publisher) Using Frame Text tool: Draw a text frame. Type some dummy text. Select a single word by double-click. Apply one of the character styles using the drop-down on the Frame Text tool's context toolbar. If the Text Styles panel is floating (undocked) in the workspace or if it is docked but selected in a panel group, the character style will not be applied. Repeat step 1 to 2. Make sure Text Styles panel is not selected in panel group or floating in workspace. Repeat step 3. Now character style will be applied. 2024-12-04_09-49-14.mp4 Quote
Hangman Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 A bit of additional info... With the Text Styles panel floating or docked and selected in the Right Studio, selecting the Character Styles a second time will apply them, i.e., Select Strong - not applied Select Strong Emphasis - not applied Select Strong - it is now applied Select Strong Emphasis - it is now applied If the Text Styles panel is docked and selected in the Left Studio applying the Character Styles works as expected... bbrother 1 Quote Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 Affinity Designer 2.6.2 (3213) Beta | Affinity Photo 2.6.2 (3213) Beta | Affinity Publisher 2.6.2 (3213) Beta MacBook Pro M3 Max, 36 GB Unified Memory, macOS Sonoma 14.6.1, Magic Mouse HP ENVY x360, 8 GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 5 2500U, Windows 10 Home, Logitech Mouse

If you select the same style again, it won't work. It looks like you need to reset with a different style or [No Style] before the second attempt for this to work. Such a small but irritating bug😒 Quote
