Drexus Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 It appears that pulling up the zoom tool with the keyboard requires a specific sequence of keys. Simply pressing OPT+CMD+Space in any sequence will not give you the means to zoom out with a click. Only by grabbing the spacebar will you be able to zoom out with a click. Is there a reason for this? You'll have to excuse me for this, I've been using Illustrator for 30 years. Quote
MikeTO Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Hi @Drexus and welcome to the forums. It's a bit confusing because it doesn't work consistently for zooming in. Zooming out is always Cmd - If the cursor is not in a text object, press Cmd = to zoom in (don't hold Shift) If the cursor is in a text object, press Shift Cmd = to zoom in This is a known issue that hasn't been addressed yet. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/search/&tags=AF-3921 Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.6 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.6 for macOS Sequoia 15.3, MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) and iPad Air (M2)
Drexus Posted December 3, 2024 Author Posted December 3, 2024 Ya, I just mash the keys all at once with zero delay. So sometimes I get a magnifying icon, and sometimes I don't. Quote
