Having spent some time putting together a trial magazine, (28 pages with page numbers) I now have to produce the real magazine by spring next year.

Is there any way I can use my trial document as a template for future issues of the magazine? Or do I have to start from scratch for each issue?

While looking around I went to Settings<Shortcuts and found 'Export as Template' Is that what I need and if so how do I use it?

Any documents that you make and Save while using the trial are exactly the same as those files made with a purchased version of the Affinity apps and can be opened and work on again at any future date after the trial period has finished, so long as you then have a purchased Affinity app to open them with.

If you save a Document as an Affinity Template file, when it is next opened it will load as an “Untitled” file containing all elements that were in the Template. Any work that you now do in this new file will not affect the original Template file.

Many thanks, I've done it now, a new document, new title.

I'm sure I'll be asking for more help before it goes to the printers in the spring.

And yes, I have bought Publisher now.

Happy Christmas to everyone who answers my, probably basic, questions

I wish you great joy with it!😎 And a Happy Christmas to you as well!

No such thing as a dumb question, every one here at one time or another new nothing about these apps.
We've all had to ask questions of the other good folks here at one time or another🙂
