Affinity will not update

I launched my affinity Photo v2.53, (and tried Designer too) and I accepted the new update.  The affinity-Photo-2.5.6.msix downloaded and installed but when I opened Photo it was the old v2.53,  i ran the update again and it said I was already updated to 2.5.6.

 

So what do I try next to update?  the .exe version?

@Guyon: You originally installed using the MSI/EXE version of the installer, and then when prompted to Download the update you chose the MSIX version. That won't work. You need to choose the MSI/EXE version, instead, from the Download page. Or you need to uninstall the MSI/EXE version, and then install the MSIX version.

At this point, if you look in the standard Windows Start Menu you should see two entries for the program, one for the MSI/EXE version (2.5.3) and one for the MSIX version (2.5.5 or 2.5.6).
