One way to slightly improve accuracy is to use the grid and snapping to move things by a specific amount - if you fiddle with the grid to make it the size suitable for your changes.   You still have to move each node indiviually; but at least they end up accurately aligned if you move each one the same.

@DuncanL Thanks, I've thought about it, but it's still a pain when there are dozens of nodes/handles to adjust (peripheral and internals to the warp overall shape).
