Suggestions for Enhancing the Affinity Suite

The Affinity Suite is an exceptional set of tools, but there are a few additions that would elevate its functionality and appeal, especially for professional workflows:

  1. HTML Table Export in Affinity Photo
While Affinity Photo includes a powerful slicing tool, it lacks the ability to export slices as an HTML table. This feature would be incredibly valuable for those working with web design or layout creation. Currently, Mac users are compelled to turn to Photoshop or Dreamweaver to fill this gap.

  2. Image Trace in Affinity Designer
A robust Image Trace feature is notably absent in Affinity Designer, leaving Mac users reliant on Adobe Illustrator for vector tracing needs. Incorporating this tool would make Affinity Designer a more comprehensive solution for vector graphics.

  3. Focus Merge Enhancements in Affinity Photo
The Focus Merge functionality in Affinity Photo is impressive and performs admirably. While not yet at the level of dedicated tools like Helicon Focus, it is a strong offering. The primary improvement needed is the ability to add open files directly into a focus merge project. This would streamline workflows by eliminating the need to export files from Capture One into a separate folder before importing them into Affinity Photo.

Adding these features would solidify the Affinity Suite as a truly unparalleled alternative to Adobe’s offerings, catering to the needs of a broader audience.
