Warp tool and form personalization just don´t work (Affinity Designer v2.5.6)

Since V 2.5.6 I've been struggling with warp tool in text as long as forms, as you can see on the videos, it always use a 25% of distortion, the default preset. It also happens when I wanna modify shapes, in this case, stars.

This is a known bug on Mac logged under AF-3198 currently awaiting a fix...

Interestingly, even though it's not shown in the bug fix list for the 2.6 Beta it appears to be partially working in v2.6.0.2900, i.e., the scrubby labels now work but the values set are sticky when they shouldn't be so when creating a new document the values from the previous document are used instead of the default values...
