I find it curious that dng files from My Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is not supported, because I have opened other dng files from my DJI products (Action 4, Mani 4 Pro and Air 3S).  Is this a bug, because I am able to open it in Photoshop Elements 2024. I can see there that the profile being used is Samsung Expert RAW.  Is this something that has to be added to Affinity to be able to open these files in Affinity?  This is a pity, because I am in the middle of creating a test video to show how much easier it is to develop RAW files in Affinity that with other developers, so this is a bummer.

I am using version 2.5.6.  Any comments?

Hi  @Finn Gange and welcome to the forum.

It's not a bug, so a serif moderator has moved this threat.

The Samsung S23 is supported from version 2.6. This is still in the beta phase and can be tested.

This is a Windows-specific bug logged under AF-3679 still awaiting a fix. The Galaxy S23 Ultra gained support in the v2.5.0 release...

The bug also affects the 2.6 Beta version on Windows. Galaxy S23 Ultra files open without issue on Mac...

@hangmanThank you for confirming that this is a bug that is being worked at. Luckily, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra produces so good pictures without using RAW, but it is still nice to have available, as I really like the way Affinity handles RAW files. Finally I can get good result on these as well. A bit different interface from what I have seen amongst other editors, but now, when I have gotten used to it, it is very nice. I am sure I still have a lot to learn, but I think I have found the most basic important settings that I want to get the picture look like what I want them to.

Hopefully when the full 2.6 version comes out, it may work. I am not sure to find the beta version, but I am probably better off waiting and stick to the 2.5.6 (which seems to work well on all other aspects).
