I've had Affinity Photo 1 for about 2 1/2 years. I just bought Photo 2.

I have Windows 11, Intel, x64 processor.

To download from Email I chose MSIX (x64). The download bar progressed till right at Completed. Then a warning popped up - May harm computer. I selected OK and it shows the Download complete. I have not opened that Download file.

WHY would I receive a "May harm computer" notice?

Thanks for any help!

Without being able to see the message it might be difficult to know where the message came from but it’s probably just your email/browser/security/OS software giving you a general warning that stuff from the internet can sometimes be harmful.

If you are downloading the software from the Serif website, or via a genuine email from Serif, then the software is perfectly safe to install.

Never click on links your received by email as a general precaution.

Always inspect the URLs in a text editor before opening them, or visit a known website by entering the URL manually or using a bookmark you made before.

Or use additional anti-malware apps which offer checking of URLs.

The email you received might be save, but it is too dangerous to load any executable apps from links received by email without further checks.
