Good morning, I’ll try to describe my problem in case someone can help me:
I’ve drawn a vector mandala, and once it’s finished, I intend to cut each of its components separately using my laser cutter. To do this, I trace each piece on a new layer, and this is where my problems begin. With the snapping tool activated, I can get the nodes to align correctly, but when I move the handles to adjust the lines, things start to shift. I zoom in, but I can’t achieve perfect alignment. Is there any option to fix this? I’ve searched tutorials and the help section but haven’t found a solution.

Thank you for your attention.

Welcome to the forums @Antolin Agar Soto

If you can share the document with us and tell us which parts of it you are having trouble with then we should be able to help you further.

It sounds like you might be able to use the Shape Builder Tool in Designer but I can’t tell from just the description. We also need to know which application(s) you have to be able to better advise you on which tools to use.

Also, have you tried searching the forums for laser cutter , or cricut , to see what other people have had problems with and what advice was given to them?

I’m using Affinity Designer 2.5.6.

As you can see in the image, I have a mandala on one layer, and I’m trying to copy one of its parts onto an upper layer. I’m using the pen tool, but when it comes to adjusting the lines, I can’t achieve enough precision, even after zooming in.

I will look into the Shape Builder tool to see if it might be the solution.

Thank you very much!

You could try the Shape Builder tool to make new objects.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

The document itself, as requested, rather than a screen-grab, would have been more useful so that we could see how your design was constructed from the various layers.
