(SOLVED) Updating v1 of Affinity Designer

EDIT: nevermind—realized my app is updating correctly and via the Mac App Store. My confusion was due to misreading another version number (thought it was 1.17, but was actually 1.7)
 
My current version of Affinity Designer is 1.10.8, but I would like to update it to the latest 1.x version.
 
I believe I’m running the Mac App Store version, but I’m unsure how I could verify that, as that version of the app no longer appears in the App Store (not even in my “Updates” section). What I can verify is that there’s no obvious way to update the app from within the app itself (i.e. neither via the Menu Bar commands nor anywhere in preferences).
 
Is this something anyone can help with?
