GRScott
I understand the Navigator tab, but it seems small. It would be nice to have something like Photoshop Elements. One can "Arrange Documents" > select "New Window," and then select "Two up." This lets one view the same picture side by side, allowing the person to work on one picture and see the full picture next to it. This is especially helpful when one is zooming in on their work and the picture next to it is zoomed out all of the way. Staff MEB Posted July 3, 2014 Staff Share Posted July 3, 2014 GRScott, You already can do that. Go to the menu View -> New View. If you need to position both views side by side make sure that Window -> Separated Mode is checked (in the top menu). Then drag one of the document tabs to split the windows in two. You can now work in both views and have different zoom levels on them. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
GRScott
Thanks MEB, I am one of those people that likes everything intact. I tried the separated mode in several programs and really have never cared for them. I don't like everything floating around. It's just my preference. With Photoshop one can work in split windows without separation. That would be my Feature Request for Affinity. Another problem with this is: every time you close and reopen Affinity, you have to resize and adjust the windows. With Photoshop, you just open your picture and make two selections and it's all set up for you. Staff Andrew Tang Posted July 4, 2014 Staff Share Posted July 4, 2014 > Another problem with this is: every time you close and reopen Affinity, you have to resize and adjust the windows. Is this still causing you a problem? I noticed that you have replied in this thread to say it's been sorted? https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/221-window/
GRScott
Andrew, I guess I was wrong ( unhappy smiley 67 year old). I was using one of the pictures from the Start-up dialog box. When opening, of course, it would not open up to the way I had set up previously before quiting. After using one of my own creation (test), it worked fine. My error.
