worriedpixels Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 (edited) Hello. Another "I used Adobe for 30 years and am struggling with something that I will kick myself about the moment someone replies" type of comment, if I may! I'm trying to do this: But am stuck with the best I can manage in Designer: How do I indent the text separately from the number? I must have clicked every setting by now. Thank you in advance. PS. Been using Designer for 10 weeks now and I'm absolutely in love with it. Bought the suite last week. What an incredible bargain. Reminds me of the old days of buying fantastic software in big cardboard boxes, not being ripped off, not feeling like the developers have contempt for you, and being very, very happy with the software. It's like an alternate universe! How on earth did I only find out about this a few months ago?! Edited November 28, 2024 by worriedpixels jmwellborn 1 Quote

MikeTO Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Tip: Use the default Bullet 1, 2, 3 text styles or click the Bulleted list icon in the Context toolbar and then adjust it from there using the panel rather than using the panel to create a bullet from scratch. It can be a bit confusing to create properly formatted bulleted lists from scratch. worriedpixels Posted November 28, 2024 Author Posted November 28, 2024 Thanks @MikeTO for the tip. I did indeed try to do it from scratch and found that the settings that ultimately fixed the issue for me worked a little confusingly, hence my getting stuck. When I adjusted the Left Indent, both the text and the numbers moved together. Turns out that I then need to adjust the First Line Indent back to zero to pull it away from the text again. Bit of a weird push-and-pull between them that I will get used to now I know. Thanks again. Quote
