APho has been really laggy, and I had many files within the AffinIty Photo folder on my iPad, Afinity photo was misbehaving very laggy so I thought I would save all my files then delete the app, and reinstall.

So after saving everything, I deleted the app. I was obviously on autopilot because my saved files were all within the Affinity Folder. The iPad is the only computer I have ever used that deleting the app deletes user files. Sure there is a warning about data loss, but where from? If the warning specifically said all files within your Affinity folder would be lost it would be like being struck by lightning. Apple device have lack of any transparency so how would a user know, unless burned before. Actually I was aware that the app woukd be removed wherever it was. I wrongly assumed that files in the gallery that hadnt been already saved would be lost, but not files that had been saved too.

The message should be clear even listing files that would be lost.

This problem is caused by memory management, both mine and the iPad, for if the app werent misbehaving I wouldnt have needed to delete the app.

What about backups you say, well I do back up periodically obviously not enough. Using the iCloud ends up creating many duplicates and fills up quickly. iPad file maintenance is a pain. Apple want your file storage to fill, thats why they hide the file delete button and only allow file copy and not file move.

A simple count or better yet, a listing of what would be lost would be greatly appreciated.

My backup for the ipad does not include APhoto files, sigh.
