Photo V1, is there a button to fit a layer to the canvas after pasting/dragging in?  I'm assuming the developers aren't sado-masochistic enough to expect the user to repeatedly type 'sw' and 'sh' into the transform panel and then click another two buttons to centre it?

Not that I’m aware of, or in V2 either.

OK thanks.  I'm not surprised if I'm being honest.  Lack of consideration to user experience is why I haven't upgraded to V2, even when they offered it to me at a 90% discount.  I'll definitely upgrade once they start dedicating some time to improving that aspect of the software.

It's not something I do very often, but when I need to, I just drag a corner handle!

I can’t remember if this sort of thing has been requested before.

I’m guessing it might not be wanted by lots of people as it will, in many cases, lose the aspect ratio of the original layer.

A macro could probably be made to do this, and someone might have already done so and shared it in the forums.

Perhaps an option to (stretch, fit width, fit height)

This functionality is available in APublisher when aligning an image to a Picture Frame.
