KoBu
I created a page with different fonts (see Fonts-test.afdesign). On the screen everything looks ok. When I print the page, some texts are illegible (see my scan: Test-Print Original.pdf). I exported the page in AD as a pdf. The pdf is o.k. Then I printed the pdf. The pdf-print is fine, too. Then I tested the fonts with CorelDraw: no problems - all o.k. Has someone an idea, what’s wrong? Staff Sean P Posted July 15, 2016 Staff Share Posted July 15, 2016 Hi KoBu,Could you attach a copy of the following fonts please: GarineldoNo01, Kleymissky and ShelleyVolanteBT-Regular please? Without these it will be hard to assist or reproduce the issue. Thanks!

KoBu
Supplement: The fonts Shelley Allegro, Shelley Andante and Shelley Volante: In AD they were displayed as a sole font and can only altered in the menu in „reguar“, „regular“, „regular“, without knowing which Shelley you choose. In CorelDraw and Word they are displayed in the fonts als Shelley Allegro, Shelley Andante and Shelley Volante. Staff Sean P Posted July 15, 2016 Staff Share Posted July 15, 2016 My guess is the application is treating the family as just 'Shelley' and then the others as the actual weights. I will take a look into that as well and pass it onto the developers.:)
Staff Sean P Posted July 15, 2016 Staff Share Posted July 15, 2016 I've passed on the issue regarding the Shelley font, however this looks to be a fault of the fonts themselves (Mac's Font Book also displays them the same as Affinity) - however the fact that all other apps seem to handle them means we should try.Regarding the issue with printing - that is a known issue that has been fixed in the upcoming build. :)

Alfred
The fonts made by Gluk are in the public domain, but the Shelley Script fonts are commercial fonts which should therefore not be shared publicly. Alfred
I'm seeing incorrect behaviour with the Shelley Script fonts in build 1.5.0.7. Regardless of whether they are installed, loaded or uninstalled, AD warns The following fonts are missing: ShelleyAllegroBT-Regular when I open the attached file. ShelleyAndante BT and ShelleyVolante BT are not mentioned. I see '? Shelley' in the Context toolbar when I select any of the Shelley Script text objects on the page, even when those fonts are fully installed, and if I drag the object to a new position on the page the displayed font family name changes to 'Accord SF', which is alphabetically one of the first fonts installed in Windows on this machine (but not the very first one). There was an issue in 1.5.0.6 where it would crash if you tried to open a file by double clicking it or starting Affinity again. This should have been fixed in 1.5.0.
KoBu
Thank you Sean, I have not noticed that there is 1.5.0.7. now. After installing there is no crash when opening the upper file. In the fonts menu I see now all the three shelley and the two garineldo fonts. Nevertheless I get the following message (see attached jpg). By the way: By starting the new AD 1.5.0.7. my avira stopped the program (see attached jpg "Meldung Avira"), tested it, and after a "o.k." could start regularly AD. In previous versions I have not experienced that. Staff Sean P Posted July 20, 2016 Staff Share Posted July 20, 2016 Hi KoBu,If you reapply the fonts and resave/reload the file it should no longer report an issue with the fonts. I believe this is probably due to some changes with made with fonts in the new build. As for the Antivirus message it might just have been a little bit cautious. We've not received any other reports regarding Antivirus software not liking the EXE so it might just be a one off.
Alfred
In the fonts menu I see now all the three shelley and the two garineldo fonts. Nevertheless I get the following message (see attached jpg). There are actually three Garineldo fonts in my document, KoBu. GarineldoNo01 and GarineldoNo02 are displayed correctly in your screenshot, but Garineldo has been substituted by one of the Foglihten fonts (No07?) from the same font designer. KoBu
Hi Alfred, I have overlooked the normal Garineldo. You are right: Garineldo seems to be FoglihtenNo07 That appears to me the same way. The "Garineldo" in your file will be displayed as "?Garineldo".
