I am looking everywhere on Affinity for a tutorial that covers simple compositing with painterly affects...ie using brushes with masking.  I would like to do the equivalent of what is being done with Luminar Neo.  Here is a link to the what I would like to do. It is instructions for use with Luminar, but I am sure AF can do exactly the same thing with a lot more variations.  Please scroll down on this page to the bottom to see the "how to detail"

Which of the steps listed is not working for you in Affinity?

I can get my subject image and an art layer into Affinity and can see how to play around with the top art layer using transparency and screen settings....I am stuck on then using a brush to reveal my image below or make alterations to the second art layer below my image. I can't find a tutorial that uses brushes to do this. Most of the compositing tutorials I have seen dont exactly cover what is shown in the Luminar workflow
