Exporting to PDF creates strange images on some phones.

I sent a friend a PDF via Whatsapp.  When they received it the colors were all screwed up with artifacts everywhere.  This is an image of what I sent: 

 

And this is what they see on their end: 

 

Any ideas why this is happening?  I opened the file on my phone through whatsapp and it looks just fine which is strange and pretty concerning.

Try export PDF as Tagged PDF: better support for photos on mobile phones

ok. Hmm... Flatten image? Or try other image format (TIFF)?

Yep. That box is checked too.

can you upload the PDF, so I can test.

Check:

- ICC-profile (sRGB)

- Colour space (RGB)

Export PDF from Photo

EDIT: and don't use 32-bit images 🙂

OK.  So totally wild.  apparently my friend who called this issue out has had physical damage to her phone and some of the photos are coming up like this only for her.  My guess is it's a hardware issue.  Thank you for the help!!
