Hello, I am new to affinity, and seem to be having a lot of issues with it crashing. It happens when I am working on photos, and also if I just have it open in the background while I'm doing other stuff on my computer, simple stuff like browsing the web. Seems pretty unstable and I am having buyers remorse. Any help out there would be greatly appreciated. Running on Win 10x64 with plenty of ram (32gb) and nvidia geforce gtx 1050 if that helps at all. Thanks!

Have you updated your GPU drivers recently? If not go to Nvidia GeForce Drivers and download the most recent. Also are you running the Studio or Game Ready driver? It seems to make a difference sometimes. Until I replaced my old GTX 645, with my now RTX 370, I ran the Game Ready, as Nvidia didn't provide Studio drivers for it. I run the Studio drivers for my RTX.

I couldn't find if your GTX 1050 supports Hardware Acceleration. IF so in Affinity Photo, go to Edit>Settings>Performance, then toward the bottom uncheck the box beside Hardware Acceleration. AP will need to restart, after it restarts see if it still crashes.

Also do you have any Crash Reports ? If so please attach the last couple to your next post.
