This is my first day using Publisher 2. I never used any version before.

I figured out how to make the outline of a text box and adjust margins of the page, so I have two blue rectangles that don't show when exporting to pdf. But I want the text box to have a black outline. I found the stroke controls and set several settings - solid line, width, some corner settings, but no border appeared and there's no "apply." I tried the help tool and searched for "borders" which offered me help with decorations, table formats, pinning panel, and picture frames. I tried the first and last. Still need help. How do I turn my invisible blue-lined text box into a black border?

Hi @Bafi and welcome to the forums,

If you go to Window → Text → Text Frame, the Text Frame Panel will appear. From there, you can set the Stroke width (border) and colour for your text frame, along with insets for the text itself.

Hello @Bafi and welcome to the forums.

The blue line you see and that does not export is most likely just a technical border indicating the size of the text frame. It also vanishes if you click off the frame. It indicates that this is the object you acutally selected.

If you want to give the text frame a border (or filling) you have to open the Text Frame panel. You can find this in the menu under 'Window > Text' (I'm not at my computer right now I might be wrong). There is also an icon on the toolbar.

See the help topic here:

Affinity Publisher 2 Help

At the top of the Text Frame panel you can a stroke colour and its width.
