photoshop has an easy way to color a layer. just clip a color adjustment layer and alter the color. this is invaluable. please add it to affinity 2

@jg. If I understand you correctly, it's already there. Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Recolor. You can clip it to a single layer, a group, or apply it to your entire design. It's also accessible using the Adjustments icon at the bottom of the Layers Panel. You can set Hue, Saturation and Lightness, and also the Layer Blend Mode and Opacity.
