Novice running current affinity designer on an updated iPad. I am trying to cut into a circle (with outline fx and 0% fill opacity) that I’m using to overlay a gradient onto a crescent moon. Rather than cutting the section out, it is creating a new layer of the cut portion as a closed circle, and the original circle is also still closed.  How do I fix this, and is there a better way for me to be getting this gradient on the circle?

I’ve ensured that no commands are being held down, I’ve tried it with both auto closed on and off, and am using no stabilizer.

Attached are what it’s meant to look like and what is going on

edit: I found a better at to add the gradient, but would still like to know how to slice/cut something like this, should I need to in the future

Hi @feltleftco

Apologies for the delayed response, is this something you are still having issues with?

Thanks
