After much consideration I purchased an M4 Pro Mac Mini ( the base model ) and wanted to compare the speed difference between it and my 2019 Intel i9 Mac Book Pro when performing an HDR Merge using 5 NEF ( Raw ) files of 30mb each.
 
From initiating the start sequence pressing 'OK' with the 5 files selected to opening in the Tone Mapping Persona:
 
Mac Book Pro 2 mins.
 
Mac Mini Pro 11 secs.
 
Bench Marks are great but the visual of seeing something happen can in this case be mind blowing
