Resizing text causes AffPub to crash

I've been trying in vain to resize a 135+ page document from A4 to 8.5"x11": AffPub constantly crashes. I have a one-page crossword puzzle followed by 1.5+ pages of answers. I am trying to trim off the very last bit so that the answers are exactly 1.5 pages in length.

I used to have an image that I tried many times to pin to the very last paragraph, but that crashed AffPub. I finally deleted the image in disgust, but there is sth about the text that still causes a crash.

I have shortened the answer text by deleting or rephrasing certain non-critical phrases, but I still have a two-paragraph spillover. I am hoping to resize the text from 15 to 14.5 points while also reducing the leading to 15.5 or 16 points, but no matter which variations I experiment with, AffPub crashes. Indeed, if I so much as hover over certain spots in the paragraph spacing dialog box, AffPub immediately crashes.

Could you upload your Publisher document with any images embedded so we can test it to see if we experience the same issue to narrow down the cause of the crash...

Thank you for the kind offer. The complete file is over 100 MB. The problem section is on page 18, but the entire document needs resizing. I believe that what follows suffers from the same problem. After truncating everything after page 25, the document is still 13 MB. Is that too large to upload?

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you...

I've not experienced any crashes with your file when making text style adjustments so I'm slightly unsure what is causing the crash for you...

The only way you're practically going to reduce the answers to cover two pages, rather than 1.5 pages you're looking for is to reduce the font size to 12 pt and the leading to around 13 pt with space after paragraphs set to around 12 pt... 14.5/15.5 is simply too large to fit the available space...

Have you tried to disable the Hardware acceleration? It's sometimes a cause for files to crash.
