Unable to download sample, Proxy authentication required

I am using the Education versions linked to a verified Canva account and our student PC accounts use a proxy server. The Lessons available from File/New do not download, but give message "Unable to download sample. The following error has occurred: The remote server returned an error: (407) Proxy Authentication Required". 

This applies to Designer, Photo and Publisher. Version 2.5.5.2636. "Check for updates" reports no updates available

I have added 

• https://affinity.api.serifservices.com
• https://s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com and subdomains
• https://store.serif.com

to the proxy whitelist. Are there other sites that the lessons are downloaded from? It looks like you now use the IE Proxy settings from the OS, but something is not right with the Lessons download.

I think I have found the download location beta-downloads.serif.com (IP 13.224.245.82), for anyone else with the same issue.

Now I don't get the error about proxy authentication but instead the file is downloaded to the user Roaming Profile location, which is unavailable to the locked down student accounts. I will open a separate post for this, to keep the thread clean.

Are you using the beta version (2.6), or the retail version (2.5), @Donald H? I ask because the "beta-downloads.serif.com" suggests you may be using the beta version. And in that case you should be posting in the Beta section of the forums unless the same issue occurs in the retail version, too.
