Hangman Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 Hi @Ellie-Jane and welcome to the forums, The file doesn't appear to be a proper PSD file, it contains hardly any information... where did it come from originally? Old Bruce Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 I seem to recall seeing something like this recently. It is some sort of Mac file that works with Photoshop and the Mac's file system. The clue is the period at the beginning of the file name. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

markw Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 That’s a bit weird, I thought all ._ files are generally supposed to be kept hidden by macOS? They contain additional meta data relating to the original file that probably is or was on an external disc so the OS knows what it is. iBacio Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 macOS creates files whose names start with a dot and underscore (. _) to store information about other files. These files with the prefix to their names are created only in some file systems developed not by Apple, including the FAT and exFAT Old Bruce 1 Quote
