Designer 2 for Ipad and Apple Stage Manager

I am trying to use the current version of the IPad Pro as a laptop replacement. While Designer 2 runs fine on the IPad Pro, I'm struggling with, that I cannot really use my 27" display unfortunately. It's connected via USB-C and Apple's stage manager is turned on. So I see the interface of Designer 2 but e.g. I cannot turn on rulers. I guess Apple stage manager is not fully supported yet? Any feedback is welcome.

My hardware setup

- iPad Pro 13 with IpadOS 18.1.1

-OWC Thunderbolt dock where I've connected a webcam, speaker and so on. I also use it to connect the IPad with the 27" USB-C display

- Apple keyboard and Apple Trackpad are connected via Bluetooth
