Hello,

I have access to the Publication Typefaces Collection. I installed the add-on in the "My add-ons" section in the Accounts window [attachment 1], but the fonts did not show up. So I tried downloading the add-on .zip file directly and importing the fonts as described here. I got a confirmation dialog [2]. I restarted Affinity but the fonts still do not show up in the font selector [3, 4]. I also confirmed that the files are in the Affinity Fonts Folder [5]. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

  1. What Application are you using? [Designer/Photo/Publisher]
    Publisher.
  2. Are you using the latest release version?
    (here's how to check)
    Yes.
  3. Can you reproduce it?
(if you cannot then we may struggle to also, making it even harder to fix)
    Yes.
  4. Does it happen for a new document? If not can you upload a document that shows the problem?
    Yes.
  5. If you cannot provide a sample document then please give an accurate description of the problem for example it should include most of the following:
  •    What is your operating system and version (Windows 11, OSX Ventura, iOS 16 etc)?
    MacOS 15.1.1 (24B91)
  •    Is hardware acceleration (in Preferences > Performance) ON or OFF ? (and have you tried the other setting?)
On. I have not tried the other setting but this does not seem relevant.
  •    What happened for you (and what you expected to happen)
    Described above.
  •    Provide a recipe for creating the problem (step-by-step what you did).
    Described above.
  •    Screenshots (very handy) or a screen capture/video.
    Attached.
  •    Any unusual hardware (like tablets or external monitors or drives that may affect things) or relevant other applications like font managers or display managers.
    No.
  •    Did this same thing used to work and if so have you changed anything recently? (software or hardware)
I just downloaded the software, so N/A.

Hi @Banknote5203 and welcome to the forums.

There is a known issue using Affinity Fonts on Sequoia and there isn't currently a workaround other than to revert to Sonoma or to use the 2.6 beta which fixes the issue.

Unfortunately, that is the reason why I am now using the current version of Beta 2.6 and Quicklook also works in some cases.

Although I have to say that Affinity and Quicklook still need to be improved significantly.
