Poggio Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 I am in the process of restoring some old black and white photos. A few of them have abrupt changes in exposure levels across the printed photo. Most of the photo is correctly exposed but there is a straight line cut-off top to bottom about 3/4 across the frame where the print appears over exposed. This may have been to to a shutter fault in the camera or a processing error. Is there a way to correct this in Affinity Photo? Quote
Old Bruce Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 Welcome to the forums @Poggio, You could try an Adjustment layer with a gradient across its integrated Mask. C hoose an exposure adjustment and make the appropriate adjustment for the "over exposed" area. draw a gradient across the little area where the problem starts. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
