BeccaR Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 I signed up for the Universal license 6 month trial offer but when I opened Photo 2 and signed in I didn't have access. The '7 day trial' screen popped up. I searched the forum but I couldn't find anyone that had my same problem. I'm a new user and new account. I tried a few fixes I found in the forum - double tapping splash screen on iPad and resetting; uninstalling and reinstalling (on Mac); accepting the free trial anyway (on Mac) but now I have both the Photo 7 day free trial (minus on the iPad) and universal license on my account. I installed Photo2 on my iPad, Mac and PC laptop just to make sure each platform did not work. I logged in just fine on all platforms, the version is correct - 2.5.5, the program opens just fine, but I only have the 7 day trial active when I look at My Account in the program. When I open the Photo2 app on my Ipad it's just the 'Start my 7 day trial' screen and I have not accepted it, not sure if that's relevant or not. Quote
Staff SFurniss Posted November 27, 2024 Staff Posted November 27, 2024 @BeccaR Welcome to the forums. Sorry, the 180 day trial was a temporary offer that has now ended. Our standard trials are seven days long. Quote
Norbert Lendvai Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 One of my friends had the same experience, instead of 6 months, he only saw a 7-day trial period after starting the program. I thought the 6-month trial period would be a permanent option. To avoid confusion, next time it should be stated how long (exact end date) the offer is valid! Quote
Konman Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Then why still advertise 6 month trial? That is kind of misleading. . . annoying especially since I activated my trial right before Christmas Quote

If it's still advertised somewhere as a 6 month trial, that may be a mistake that needs rectifying Where are you seeing this offer? Brad___ Posted January 21 Posted January 21 Ugh. Seriously? The 6month trial was really what made me want to explore Affinity. A week is not enough time to test out software like this and honestly this move just makes me want to remove the software over anything else. Quote
PaulEC Posted January 21 Posted January 21 Although 6 months did seem a bit over the top, I think that whoever made the decision to have a trial of only 7 days, doesn't realise that most people have a life, including a full time job, and have other things to do than just try out new software! emmrecs01 1 Quote Acer XC-895 : Core i5-10400 Hexa-core 2.90 GHz : 32GB RAM : Intel UHD Graphics 630 – Windows 11 Home - Affinity Publisher, Photo & Designer, v2 (As I am a Windows user, any answers/comments I contribute may not apply to Mac or iPad.)
