jsampson45 Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 In Affinity Designer 2.5.5, in "Help" there is a paragraph headed "Stroke Panel" but it does not say where to find the stroke panel. Where is it? Is there a facility for finding things in the GUI, such as a searchable map? Quote
GarryP Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 Go to menu “Window → Stroke” and make sure it’s checked (ticked). If it is and you still can’t see the Stroke Panel then use menu “Window → Studio → Show Right Studio” (and/or “Window → Studio → Show Left Studio”) so show the Studios. If you still can’t see it then we will need a full-screen (whole application UI) screenshot with your “Window → Studio” menu open. Quote

Only for Macs, you can type something in the Search field in the Help menu, which often will show you where to find things in the menus. So if you are on a Mac, try typing "Stroke' there & see what you get. This is provided by the macOS, & AFAIK, there is no similar feature in Windows. jsampson45 Posted November 25, 2024 Author Posted November 25, 2024 Next, where is "convert to curves" when an object is selected? More generally, might the official 'help' file not include how to find each item it discusses? It would require a radical rewrite but it would make the 'help' file helpful. Quote

For quick shapes like triangles, stars, cogs, etc. selected, look on the context toolbar with either the Move or Node tool or any of those shape tools selected.
