Attached is the document I am trying to export. The text was generated from an imported PDF but I can make the same freezing behavior happen with freshly generated text. If I delete the text or text box then the export calculates instanty, but Publisher freezes and needs a restart if I paste the text back into the document. If I only type three words, the same trouble happens.

I would rather not have to retype the text. I tried pasting the text into TextEdit but I couldn't figure anything out.

I could open and export the document just fine on Windows – see attached PDF.

However, I don’t have the fonts you are using so that’s maybe something to look at.

Also, I notice that you are using using a “Grey/8” colour format with a “Greyscale D50” colour profile and these might not be compatible with the specific PDF format you are trying to export to. (I don’t know much about that sort of thing so I might be wrong.)

Thanks! I was able to export after deleting and reinstalling the app, strangely. This is only one of several documents I need, so I still think Affinity needs to address the Mac side. (This is the macOS forum for bugs...)

I know, I was just seeing if the same problem happened on Windows too – it’s often useful for the developers to know if the problem is only with one OS (or even one specific installation) or not.

I think the issue is with SF Pro. It appears impossible to remove all instances of SF Pro Regular even after editing the text styles and bullets and removing the font manually or via Find and Replace.

SF Pro is known to cause issues and should generally be avoided...
