Is there a way to save a Custom Stroke Style and apply it to other layers with just one click or so ?

Going through every layer and manually applying the same custom style setting is really tiresome.

>>> Nevermind. I just selected all the layers and made the setting manually once. It was applied to all layers.

In addition to your found workflow:

1. You can store stroke properties as a style in the Styles Panel.

2. Another option to transfer a specific style to other objects is via "Copy" -> "Paste Style".

3. And there is an option to create new objects with the style of an existing object by creating first a temporary "Defaults" via the Toolbar button "Synchronize defaults from selection".

Or, in V2, you can use the Style Picker Tool.

Yah. This is all great except the UI, Help, and Documentation never say how to access the Styles Panel.

Oh wait. It's because the UI has a tab called "Windows" not "Panels".   Fantastic nomenclature !  Brilliant.

... and of course there is no "Show Panels" under the View tab where it should be.

PS. Another complete inconsistency. You cannot access "Layer Effects" though the Styles Panel. You can only access it at the very bottom of the Layer Menu.

Ironically, in the link you posted the second sentence explains how to find the Styles Panel and it is even highlighted:

Note that unlike the Text Styles Panel, you can't create or edit a style in the Styles Panel but may add or remove them only. Therefore there is no need nor use for an option "Layer Effects" in the Styles Panel.

Also note that in addition to the "Layer" menu (+ a possible shortcut key command) you also can access "Layer Effects" via the button at the bottom of the Layers Panel + via the context menu / right click on an object in the main window.

P.S.: Personally I'd recommend new users first to get familiar with the interface (and its possibly hidden options) without sticking to known workflows of other apps and before thinking about preferred intuition and/or complaints or possible bugs or issues. Since years Affinity is rich of issues, bugs, feature requests and alternative suggestions for possible interface variations which makes it rather unlikely that a unknown but relevant idea will come up (… new bugs in new updates excepted).

It is called the Windows menu because it includes considerable more than just hiding/showing the individual Studio panels, including such things as toggling full screen window mode, accessing the various manager windows, & so on. Just keep in mind that not everything in that menu is a panel & hopefully it should begin to make a lot more sense to you.
