  1. What Application are you using? Using Affinity Photo
  2. Are you using the latest release version? 2.5.5
    (here's how to check)
  3. Can you reproduce it?
    YES
  4. Does it happen for a new document? If not can you upload a document that shows the problem? It happens for any document, new, or a previous saved file.
  5. If you cannot provide a sample document then please give an accurate description of the problem for example it should include most of the following:
  •    What is your operating system and version MACOS 14.6.1
  •    Is hardware acceleration (in Preferences > Performance) ON or OFF ? (and have you tried the other setting?) Hardware acceleration is on
  •    What happened for you (and what you expected to happen).
I am using Safari and Affinity photo on a Mac. I am switching between Safari and Affinity on a single monitor with CRTL+"right arrow key" to switch between a video tutorial (Youtube, in full screen) and affinity photo for painting. Everything is fine for like the first time using this recipe. Then after the second or third and sometimes 4th time doing this, Affinity photo only lets me use the view tool. When I try to switch back to the brush tool, it highlights the brush tool, but I cannot use the brush as it only shows the view tool and my cursor will show the hand and I will only be able to move around the canvas. Very annoying and halts my workflow. I fix the issue by saving, closing the document, and re opening. Would be great to get this resolved. I have a Huron Inspiroy attached for painting. I used to be able to do this process without an issue.

Welcome to the forums @giddyyup & my apologies for the late response,

I've replicated the setup with a fullscreen YouTube video in focus and Photo 2 in fullscreen, using the CTRL + Right arrow to switch between the app in-focus isn't locking me out of switching between and using different tools. Could you possibly try and capture this issue in a screen recording?

Many thanks!
