Hello everyone,

I hope you can help me. I recently purchased a VPN and noticed that the Affinity apps won’t open when the VPN is connected.

I tried adding the app executables to the Split Tunneling feature on the VPN, but the issue persists. I suspect that the app attempts to verify the license through the Microsoft Store, so I also added WinStore.App.exe to Split Tunneling, but it’s still not working.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue or knows how to resolve this?

  • Affinity version 2.5.5
  • Windows 11 23H2 (OS Build 22631.4460)

Thank you!

As the error message says, Photo can not communicate with the other Affinity Apps on your PC. Maybe the VPN blocks the internal traffic on your machine, which should not be the case. I'm also using a VPN, but no problem here.

Thanks for your reply! I just discovered that the problem only occurs when Split Tunneling feature is activated. I suppose it might be blocking internal traffic between the apps.
