Affinity Photo V2.6 Beta doesn't seem to recognise my computer type?

So. As you can see. I'm on a M2 Mac Mini. Definitely Silicone I thought.

Seems to work in Publlisher -> Photo persona.

Could you go to Finder > Applications, right click on the Photo 2 Beta and go to Get Info. Under the General section is Open using Rosetta enabled? 
If so could you disable this then try using the Object Selection tool again.

It was! How did that get set? Anyway, unset it and it now works as it should.

I'm using an iMac Pro 2017, Sequoia 15.3, 3.2GH 8-core Intel Xeon W processor. Object Selection Tools is not working. I'm wondering if I'll have to buy a new computer if I want to use this new feature in Affinity Photo? Or will it only be available after a proper update is released? Because if not, then the money for the software was wasted.
