This has happened with every document I have created.
I have multiple pages (spreads), and every time I add/duplicate a page, the last page loses layers.

Cause: As of writing this, I have found the cause. Having layers and objects that are far out of bound of the page get deleted.
In the below image and my other documents, my last page has a copy/paste of the first page. The last page uses the same layers as this first page copy to align the backgrounds with the spread. Having a single last page doesn't have the issue. However the ability to retain layers that are off the page should be a practical option.

Before adding new or duplicating existing pages:

After adding new or duplicating existing pages:

My work around has been to copy every layer on the last page and paste them again after adding new pages.

I'm trying to understand what you mean by "off the page", but I'm not getting it from your screenshots. Sorry.

Can you provide a sample .afpub document configured this way and Save it with History so we can see its state before the problem, and after. (Or two documents, one Saved just before the action, and one saved just after, might be better.)

@walt.farrell Hey sorry for the late reply, been flat out.

So the page in the image is only a single page, not a spread as it is the last page.
To help with matching with the first page, I have treated it as a full spread, so the background etc overflow over the missing page.

I have attached an example. Have a look at the last page, then duplicate any inner spread.

Hi Katze,

I'm trying to replicate this issue here and I'm not having much luck unfortunately. If possible could you provide a screen recording showing you replicating this bug so I can check I'm not doing something wrong etc.

Thanks
C

This is what I do, I select one of the two page spreads and use the Duplicate button/graphic item/thing

And this is how page 8 (formerly known as Page 6) looks like. There is a large item missing.

I do have to say that I doubt I would design this this way, I would probably use a master page for the various graphic items.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Thanks Bruce got it now not sure how I couldn't see all that blue disappearing! I believe this is being caused by roughly half of the object being positioned off page but I still wouldn't expect this to happen. I have logged this with the dev team for further investigation.
