Evaluation complete. Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 iPad mouse connected, Publisher 2.5.5 (iPadOS 17.6.1): when I press the buttons for zoom, preview, and snapping, I can never access the “options” submenu, which is a smaller part on the right side of the buttons. I can access it with my finger on the iPad or with the Apple Pencil, but the mouse always activates the main button itself, even though the tooltip indicates that I’m hovering over the “options” part. Clearly a bug. Very annoying. I am using my iPad with an external monitor so have to adjust settings on the iPad with my finger. Also: Other apps show a pointer when a mouse is connected to an ipad, but Affinity displays that thick circle as if the mouse were a finger or the Colossus of Rhodes. Will we get a proper pointer soon? Quote
Evaluation complete. Posted December 1, 2024 Author Posted December 1, 2024 Serif, this issue has just escalated in consequence, as customers like me who work with Publisher on an external screen and an iPad Pro (without screen mirroring) are unable to use the elements mentioned above on the external screen. I have to move the window back down to the iPad to perform these actions—and then back up again. A serious flaw. Quote
Staff stokerg Posted January 6 Staff Posted January 6 Hi @Evaluation complete., Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. This is something we are aware of and is already logged with the Developers to resolve. I've left a link on that bug report so the Affinity Info Bot can update here when this issue has been resolved.
