Hi, Please Affinity Photo and Designer cannot open on my computer. Here are the things I have tried and have not worked:

  1. Restarting
  2. Reinstalling
  3. Run as Administrator
  4. Windows>Apps>Affinity Photo/Designer>More> Here the three options I saw are Uninstall, Run as Administrator, and Open File Location
  5. Settings>Apps>Installed Apps>Clicked the 3 dots on Affinity photo/designer>Modify
  6. Held control to launch the app.

Are you getting any crash reports?

If not (or even if you are), the Windows Event Viewer might provide useful information:

From your initial posting I assume that you used the MSIX version of the installer.
Please download the MSI/EXE version from the Serif Store. In the download area, click on the button with the tip pointing downwards and select the MSI/EXE.

I didn't see any option to choose the file type to download.

Did you try https://store.serif.com/en-us/account/licences/ (or the equivalent if you are not in the US)? There should be a "View License" button if you bought the Universal license -- I'm not sure what it would say if you bought just AD & AP for Windows.

If you click the license button you should get to a screen with a Windows item for each of your apps with a popup menu where you can select among 4 versions to download.

It says "You currently have no Affinity V2 licenses"

Are you a US based user? Did you buy any of the V2 apps from the US Store?

@Return, from the OP's screenshot in this post above, it looks looks "Downloads & product keys" is what was clicked.

Or OP didn't buy a license for any version2 programs at all?

That seems likely from that last screenshot saying 'no V2 licenses'. if that is true then there is no MSIX version for V1, so that can't be a part of the problem, right?

I bought AP and AD about 2 years ago, and they have been working. I'm not sure of what the V2 Licenses are

It seems you have V1 of the Affinity applications, not V2. Can you show us a File Explorer screenshot, showing the installed Affinity applications? They're probably located in C:\Program Files unless you installed them somewhere else.

Were they ever working? When was the last time they worked?

What does the Windows Event Viewer show after the application fails to launch.

For future reference, the V refers to the version number. You have the old version one of the apps, not the current version two, which you would have to buy new licences for.
