AI Object selection tool

For a short while I was finding the new AI Object Selection tool very useful but then after one of the recent upgrades to Affinity Photo Beta it stopped working and says I need to be running an Apple silicon device. Nothing has changed on my Mac which is running the latest OS and the AI tool was previously working. It only stopped when my beta version of Affinity Photo was updated. Also in Settings the Machine Learning Modules referred to in the latest tutorial, is not there. Hoping someone at Affinity can resolve this.

It sounds as though you’re using an Intel rather than Apple Silicon Mac…

Unfortunately, Machine Learning support has been withdrawn for Intel chips on macOS, the announcement appears at the bottom of this post…

COMPATIBILITY: Sorry but due to the functions we need to run the Object Selection and Subject Selection functionality, the Machine Learning features only available on Apple Silicon iPads and macOS devices (and those need to be running on a recent macOS, as Catalina, Big Sur and Monterey do not support the required calls). Machine Learning will run on both Windows x64 andArm64 hardware running Windows 10 or Windows 11.
