TomHeintjes Posted November 14, 2024 Posted November 14, 2024 I've gotten my Publisher document pretty close to where I want it, but I wonder if someone knows what's involved in making footnotes sit on the bottom margin. (I had not worked with footnotes before this project.) Here, I show the bottom of two pages on the same spread. In one, the text extends to the bottom of the text box, but on the facing page the text stops short of the bottom of the text box. Is there maybe a way to control footnote position on a case-by-case basis? (This article has a number of footnotes, but this is the only case where the text doesn't go to the bottom.) As always, thanks in advance for any thoughts you might have! Quote
MikeTO Posted November 14, 2024 Posted November 14, 2024 Hi Tom. What do you have set for Notes > Positioning > Note Position? If you want your footnotes to be bottom aligned you will need to choose "Bottom of Column" or "Bottom of Frame", and not "Below Text".
