uuxxaa Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 Flood fill is super slow. 1. Create an empty designer file. I created 3600 x 3600 px 2. Switch to pixel persona 3. Flood fill Inkspace, ClipStudio, Tayasui, Photoshop even Windows Paint fills super fast. Seems something off with the implementation of the flood fill. Quote
GarryP Posted November 14, 2024 Posted November 14, 2024 Why are you flood filling a document with no layers? Quote
uuxxaa Posted November 14, 2024 Author Posted November 14, 2024 Normally I do this unintentionally by flood filling on the wrong layer. Or when there are holes which flood filling escapes. it just shows that implementation is not efficient. Being a dev is a curse 😂 Quote
Gripsholm Lion Posted November 14, 2024 Posted November 14, 2024 I followed your steps and the fill was instantaneous. Quote
Staff MEB Posted November 14, 2024 Staff Posted November 14, 2024 Hi @uuxxaa, I'm not experiencing any slowdowns or lags. Are you running Windows or macOS? Even if you haven't created any layer the Flood Fill Tool (or rather the Assistant) should automatically create a layer for you and fill it with the colour you want. Can you replicate this consistently of it happened just once? Thank you. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
