I sorely need a product like Preview for mac, or adobe acrobat, that works on ipad pro and windows 11.

I tried redacting and make fillable forms in online tools, but it is cumbersome, insecure and just pure problematic. Apples preview has many functions and can be a bless for people working with pdfs, but unfortunately their didnt think to make this program awailable for ipad pros, and it isnt awailable for windows.

I think you would be the best people to take on this issue.

I tried out Libre office to work with redactions, and when fillable forms is the thing it dont work either, since the program only wants to import pdf to drawings, while it is in the word part you can use those tools, which makes no sense at all. So it becomes completely impossible. Online tools exist but suddenly all you work dissapears, and you dont know who has access to the document.

Even as a pdf reader most tools (Foxit one of the better) out there are horrible and often they want you to pay extreme sums for something adobe reader can do, just you are suddenly stuck in the adobe sphere… I really see the potential for Affinty to rock this boat and creat a great reader or editor, so that all the bloat is over.

I hope you like my surgestion, and find it interesting to work on.

Please edit your topic tags. I’m not convinced that ‘affinity’ is a useful tag on the Affinity forums, anyway, but it’s certainly not very useful with the second ‘i’ missing!

Since this is not an isolated error/typo, see the next post and its text, there was apparently a confusion/misunderstanding of the product name.

I've been using GoodReader for advanced PDF things on the iPad. It's a solid reader and editor. Maybe it can do what you are looking for.

Thanks for the tip/adwise, I tried some readers and editors, with different experiences. I think a program addon or a new program from the affinity team would still be a much better choice for me.

Not to deny that the Affinity team would be able to do something similar or even better, but GoodReader is here now, and I feel that catching up its features and quality would take a very long time.
