LEB Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 Hello everyone, I noticed the following: open the advanced search and replace box in AP 2.5.5 set a value for the font family it automatically sets the style to a value (why?) change the style to "no change" reopen the font properties, the style is set to the same value (why?) I am adding a screenshot. LEB Enregistrement de l’écran 2024-11-13 à 05.42.21.mov MikeTO 1 Quote
MikeTO Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 This appears to be a regression which probably happened when 2.5.0 was released because that's when this window was rebuilt. In previous versions, choosing a font family (whether using this dialog for Find or Create/Edit Text Style) did not select a font style automatically. Now it does, but not for all font families. It must be due to how the styles are defined but I didn't take the time to look at that. I can see the benefit of choosing a font style automatically when editing a text style so perhaps this was deliberate, but if it was deliberate then it wasn't finished since it doesn't work for all font families, but this isn't useful for Find. Either way it needs some attention LEB 1 Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.6 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.6 for macOS Sequoia 15.5, MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) and iPad Air (M2)
Staff Lee D Posted November 15, 2024 Staff Posted November 15, 2024 @LEB I've logged this with the developers to look into. Also thanks to @MikeTO for his input. Quote
