This appears to be a regression which probably happened when 2.5.0 was released because that's when this window was rebuilt.

In previous versions, choosing a font family (whether using this dialog for Find or Create/Edit Text Style) did not select a font style automatically. Now it does, but not for all font families. It must be due to how the styles are defined but I didn't take the time to look at that.

I can see the benefit of choosing a font style automatically when editing a text style so perhaps this was deliberate, but if it was deliberate then it wasn't finished since it doesn't work for all font families, but this isn't useful for Find. Either way it needs some attention

The issue "Find & Replace auto selects a font style but not for all font families " (REF: AF-5076) has been fixed by the developers in the latest beta build (2.6.0.2861). The fix is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
