jedorme Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 I am creating a book project and downloaded the Publisher 2 trial version due to updates like being able to add footnotes to my text. But it is very sporadic when loading Word files into text frames. So I finally gave up and turned the footnotes to endnotes, eliminating the footnote/endnote numbers in the Word text. Then I manually typed the numbers into the Affinity text, and used the superscript tool in the toolbar to create the proper placement and font size. This worked for almost all of these new endnotes, but the last few it refuses to make the change in the numbers to be in superscript. I also can't use the place tool to put images into pages with text already in frames or without any text in the frames. I have to drag and drop them in, but then their behavior is very erratic and difficult. They have all been in the jpeg format. Are all of the features of version 2 turned on in this trial version, should I try downloading it again, or what is suggested? I am using a 2017 iMac running OS Ventura 13.6.7. Thank you. Jed Quote
jedorme Posted November 12, 2024 Author Posted November 12, 2024 Forgot to mention that the text wrap tool does not work at all. Stays grayed out and unresponsive. Jwd Quote

The trial versions are fully-functional except for the time limit for use. I can’t give you a solution to the problem as I don’t use end/footnotes myself. Giving us an example document might help us to help you. If you can’t supply the document then full-screen screenshots (whole application UI) are often useful so we can see what you can see. Make sure that we can see the relevant Panels in the screenshots. Quote
