RAJDEEP Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 I am quite upset to find the Affinity Photo does not support Nikon Raw Images (NEF files). I was really liking affinity photo for its clean interface and easy to use application. But a big setback. Again going back to lightroom & photoshop. Quote
Ldina Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 @RAJDEEP Not true....There are a few Hi Efficiency RAW formats (e.g., Z9 Hi Efficiency) that are not yet included in the LibRAW database, but to the best of my knowledge, all other NEF file formats ARE included in the database and work fine. Welcome to the forums @RAJDEEP, Actually Affinity Photo does open Nikon's NEF raw files. Hangman Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Hi @RAJDEEP and welcome to the forums, Affinity Photo does support Nikon RAW (NEF Files)... If you're referring to Nikon HE and HE* support then support is included in the current 2.6 Beta... Bruce, I just opened two different RAW NEF files and they opened fine in the Develop Persona. EDIT: Oops...I somehow added a NOT to your sentence.. My apologies and mistake!! Hangman Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 Nikon Hi-Efficiency files are supported in the 2.6 Beta... Nikon HE decoding is now done using a library supplied by Nikon...
