When I try to stack multiple tiff files....they are not aligned.  I've made sure the alignment boxes are checked in the stacking menu but I'm getting two separate files side by side.  Any way to fix this?  Thanks you image.thumb.png.df84f961a439702809627fb64efaf99d.png

It might help if you could attach 2 or 3 sample TIFF files that have this issue so we can try it for ourselves.

Your screenshot seems to show one file open, with only a single pixel layer in it. If you had used File > New Stack as your question suggests then there would be multiple layers.

Can you tell us exactly what menu operation you performed to load the files?

I clicked on files, new stack, add, took me to my downloads and chose both files (#4 is a tiff file and #3 is afphoto),open, both files were loaded in the stack window, hit ok then added a name.  Can't understand why only a single pixel layer.  The jpeg photo on my Ipad shows 491 stacked images, 1 hr, 21min duration.  Thank you for your assistance.

How did you add an *.afphoto to the stack window? If I try that all my *.afphoto files are greyed out & cannot be selected.

Regardless, in your topic title & first post you mentioned stacking multiple tiff files, but it seems you are trying to stack one tiff with an *.afphoto file. Can you clarify which one you are trying to do, & possibly (as I requested) supply 2 or 3 sample TIFF files, not just one?

I inadvertently attached the wrong Andromeda 3 file.  Here are both Andromeda tiff files and two Crescent Nebula tiffs.  Sorry to waste your time and appreciate your patience.  When I tried stacking the two Crescent tiffs I have star rotation after a basic stretch.  But if I do any processing on each file the rotation doesn't show?  Thank you again.
