I was wondering if there could be an option on Templates to create the default Template in Affinity Designer 2 with the Artboard colour e.g Black etc...So the Template can be created with the default colour and then opened in the New Document Screen? Hope this makes sense? The attached image shows the New Document view and it would be great to have the option here to create Artboard with background colour as default :)

In addition to what KarinC wrote, you can also save the empty document as a template.
