I'm trying to find a way to create a grid on an image that is 16384x8192. The grid has to have perfect squares, at the center of which has to have a number starting with 1 on the very first one and add one number as it goes to the right, so each square has an individual number.

I would assume the automatic number creation is not possible in the Affinity Suite, but what about the grid? And I mean a grid that gets added as a layer and can be saved with the document, not the overlay grid that is one of the helper tools for design.

And if anyone has a clue about the numbers generation part in whatever program it is, please share as I don't have a clue.

I guess you could use Frame Text Text Frames which are linked together and have a single number in each text frame. Make a text file like so.

1

2

3

...

1024

Make and apply a Paragraph Style that has a flow option of "Start in next frame" and you are done. The hard part would be linking the text frames.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

To create the grid you might like to try using the Quick Grid functionality.

See attached video where I hold the Shift key down while dragging out the Rectangle to make sure it’s square and also press the Right and Down cursor keys to duplicate the shape.

Note: The number of squares horizontally must, in this case, be double that of the number of shapes vertically to match the aspect ratio of the document, otherwise the shapes won’t ‘fill’ the document.

You can replace the Rectangles that I used with Frame Text layers.
