Michael mj sport Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 Just bought a new MacBook Pro and I can't import any of my image files (which are on dropbox) into Publisher. MY old MacBook Pro is able to import the same files. Any ideas ? Quote
GarryP Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 Welcome to the forums @Michael mj sport My first bit of advice would be to not use resources (e.g. images) in your Affinity documents which are stored non-locally, e.g. in the cloud, etc. Having stuff on non-local storage has proven to be problematic for some people when using the Affinity applications. My first question is, what do you mean by “import” because we can’t "import" images into Publisher. We can Open them, or Place them, or drag/drop them in, or use them in Picture Frames, but there’s no “import” function for images. Quote
Komatös Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 I am not a Mac user. But could it be that there is an access lock for external content on the (new) macOS that you have to remove first? PaulEC Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 Have you tried saving the files to your MacBook and then opening them, rather than trying to open directly from Dropbox? walt.farrell Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 As Garry asked, what does "import" mean? Also, what OS did your old Mac use, and what OS does the new one use? Do you have Dropbox configured the same way on both systems? If you had Dropbox enabled as a Linked Service in your Publisher Settings on the old machine, do you also have it setup that way on the new one?
